This program was designed for new Phi Theta Kappa members. Its purpose is to help defray educational expenses while enrolled in a two-year college in order to develop leadership potential through participation in the Society.
Leaders of Promise is the Society’s first scholarship program available to members to be used during the time they are enrolled in their community colleges. Up to 30 scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded based on applications submitted by members.
To be eligible to apply, a student must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa in good standing and currently enrolled in an associate degree program, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on all college-level coursework.
If you who have completed no more than 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) of coursework as of January 31, 2009, YOU ARE eligible to apply. However, students with previous degrees are NOT eligible.
All completed applications must be received (not postmarked) by May 1, 2009.

This event is OPEN to both PTK members and friends to PTK. This workshop is designed to help you plan and execute the transfer process-how to narrow/search for schools, approaching faculty for reference letters, preparing your admissions essay. I hope that you all will come and feel free to bring a friend!
As noted on your student leader offer letter, this meeting is required for BOTH new and returning chapter leaders. We will talk about your positions, how to work as a team and plan our Spring 2009 chapter activities. Continental breakfast and pizza lunch will be provided
As many of you know, our chapter is responsible for submitting hallmarks (or our annual report) to both regional and national office in late January/early February. ALL Officers and student leaders are required to attend. We will be meeting from 10 a.m. (SHARP) to 2 p.m. to work on these. Please come to the Alumni Conference Room. Pizza lunch will be provided!
